Round Bed Mattresses

Round bed mattresses were very popular back in the 1970’s and were the thing to have.  Now we are in the 20th Century and are starting to see a big influx in these mattresses.  Once in style, then out of style, and slowly coming back in style, these make the perfect addition to that extra room where you are trying to go for an older 70’s look or better yet, a perfect addition for your main bedroom to give your room some spazz and life.

A lot of round bed mattresses come in a variety of sizes, usually ranging in a 7-8ft diameter and consisting of 2 semi-circle halves.  Some of these beds also come with an operated motor that will rotate the bed while you are on it, pretty cool huh?  If you are wondering about what type of headboard you would be getting for this type of mattress, you can either get a regular headboard custom fitted to it, or go with the standard headboard that comes with these, which basically curve around the back side of the bed to conform to the oval shape.

With these types of beds you can also get a little creative and get one that has kind of an enclave above it, which surrounds you almost fully, as if you are sleeping inside a big ball.  One big advantage to these beds other then that they look real cool is that they save a lot of space, so if you are tight on space and want a really cool looking bed, then one of these just may be right for you.
